Community Engagement

Community connection has always been at the heart of my work. For seven years, I hosted the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), bringing hundreds of students, educators, and artists together in a shared space that celebrated academic excellence and creative achievement. I’ve led service‑driven initiatives like Empty Bowls, partnering with local restaurants, families, and volunteers to support hunger‑relief organizations. I’ve also guided students in juried exhibitions such as 20 Under 20 and Young Masters, helping them gain confidence, visibility, and scholarship opportunities. Whether organizing large‑scale events, collaborating with local partners, or creating meaningful experiences for students and families, I value the way community engagement strengthens school culture and builds a sense of belonging for everyone.
